What this entails
Alright apparently you've sucked up enough to the Headmistress to have been given special authority. Yet with this cool name, and the awesome badge, you have also gained multiple responsibilities. THIS HONOR CAN BE TAKEN AWAY AS EASILY AS YOU GOT IT.
⇢ You are allowed to take House Points away from students. Be careful when you do however, you don't want people to hate you, and if the headmistress and any of the higher ups catch wind that you're taking away points for idiotic reasons otherwise...lets just say you'll be in the hospital wing for a while.
⇢ You are allowed to give detentions to students who are acting wrongly, but remember do NOT abused this power either, otherwise...well you might be hexed, and not from a student. You must also understand that when you give detentions you will be the one sitting in the room, and possibly with whom you have given detentions to, there is a schedule, if you do not give out any detentions then you STILL HAVE TO sit down in the room, so you might as well spite someone anyway right?
⇢ You are required to patrol the corridors, how else would you catch people breaking the rules anyways? Basically a schedule is made, and then which ever day is assigned to you, you well walk around, making sure that curfew is met, but just remember prefects have their own curfew also. Only the teachers can do whatever they want at night.
⇢ On the first day of classes you are required to lead the first years of your house to the common room, it isn't that hard, but the new kids sure can be annoying.
What do you get?
⇢ POWER. What else do you need? You are able to take points away and issue detentions, kids will think twice before messing with you.
⇢ RESPECT. Having a badge gives you respect, even from those in higher years, and your teachers might not treat you like you're an idiot.
⇢ Private Bathroom, yes we give you your own private bathroom. Why? So people can't peep at you, not really. The reason this is given is to allow you some peace and quiet time, which usually can't be achieved in your own common room and wash. It also serves as your own personal swimming pool, which you share with 23 others. Least you don't have to swim in the lake right?
