This is where first year students are taught how to fly a broomstick. It is a flat, grassy area surrounded by castle walls and overlooked by the Training Grounds Tower

What better place to play a game of Quidditch? Towering structures surround the field, and are decorated in house colors for the six matches every year. It is also used by the teams to practice and train.

Herbology classes are held in these two greenhouses. Greenhouse One is exclusively for first year students, while Greenhouse Two is for the other years. Just about every plant with magical properties grows here, so people often come for potion ingredients.

This greenhouse is where the incredibly dangerous plants, such as Venomous Tentaculas and Mandrakes, are housed. Students are strictly forbidden from entering. Only a few upper level Herbology classes are taken here.

The lake in Hogwarts is quite large, and is known to contain a giant squid inside, but don't worry about him, he's friendly. In fact people say he saved a drowning students life once, so you can swim in peace knowing that if anything happens you'll be saved. The Lake also contains some other magical creatures, and most are friendly, though it is common rule to stay away from the bottom of the lake.

On the edge of the Forbidden forest lies a quaint stone hut, complete with a garden and various pens for the creatures studied in the Care of Magical Creatures class. This is essentially the professor's office, but is also where most of the classes take place. Inside the hut is a single room beautifully decorated from floor to ceiling with a sort of oriental flair.

This forbidding forest borders the grounds of Hogwarts. Students are strictly prohibited from entering due to the various hostile creatures who reside within. However, occasionally the Care of Magical Creatures lesson will be taught here.
