He has a very clear sense of justice, what's right and wrong, and he tries as hard as he can to stick to it. He may not be the smartest kid around, but he's observant and inherently level-headed despite his tendancy to fly off the handle when he gets upset. He enjoys music, and loves classic literature and movies. He can be awkward around people, but he's a genuinely nice guy who had some bad stuff happen to him. Also, he's an amazing cook for someone who's technically undead. He likes the irony. ⇢ The Bad Edwin is very nervous and paranoid, a side effect from hiding his true species. He also becomes very distracted sometimes and can't concentrate when he's close to people because the smell of them makes him hungry and uncomfortable. He can get agressive around blood and finds it very hard to control himself when it's out in the open. Most people think he's just afraid of blood, because he runs out of the room when people get papercuts. He can also be irrational and moody, especially when he's hungry. Also he's basically a hipster. HISTORY: ⇢ When Edwin found out he was a squib. His mother, being an English witch herself, was in complete denial that her son could not do magic, even when the signs were there that he posessed no magic ability. She took him to Diagon Alley when he turned 11, bought him a wand and a cat. Edwin sort of took it for granted that the letter would come - he did recieve a letter, but he worked it out that as long as he never took a class where he'd have to use his wand, he'd be fine. Of course, at 11 the world seems much simpler than it really is. Edwin made it work somehow - he pretended to bungle everything, becoming a sort of awkward class clown rather than face the teasing of his schoolmates. The teachers all knew of his magical power - or rather, lack of it - but he showed such interest in the other aspects of Wizarding that they simply steered him toward Herbology (which he excelled at), Potions, and Music (which he was also quite good at). ⇢ When Edwin was 15, and on his christmas holiday, his father returned home. He was a muggle, a tradesman who worked on the sea. When his father came home, however, he seemed...off. He was moody and pale and looked very sick. Edwin's mother was frightened - she rushed to the pharmacy to buy medicine. However, as soon as they were alone, Edwin's father attacked him. While on his voyages overseas, he had been attacked by a vampire and turned. Afraid of losing his family to immortality, Edwin's father bit and changed both Edwin (at the house) and his mother (when she returned home). Edwin doesn't remember the specifics of the transformation, but he remembers that it was the single most painful experience of his life. After that, life became...different. When he returned back to school, the ammount of blood there overwhelmed him. He found himself stealing phials from the Potions room to keep himself at bay - he does, of course, eat human food, but to survive he needs blood. Aspirations: ⇢ To stop the cravings he has for blood, and live life without attacking anyone. And to know the most underground bands. You've probably never heard of them. INVENTORY: -- Sunscreen, SPF 110 -- Ironic Vampire Novel -- Walkman (because iPods are so mainstream) and mix CD of bands you haven't heard of Face Claiming: AXIS POWERS HETALIA, Sweden, Edwin McHarney.
