Meanwhile Huwa though not unique is a last name that is a rarity even in its native country of Japan; it can be directly translated as "Unbreakable". Thus when combined, the teenager's birth name holds the meaning of "Unbreakable Endurance". Ministry Registration - Endurance Kamijo (ƒGƒ“ƒfƒ…ƒ‰ƒ“ƒX _ã) ⇢ The etymology of Kamijo originates from the Japanese words for "God" (Kami) and "Above" (jou); therefore the surname can be roughly translated as "A person above God". When joined with Endurance's first name it can mean something to the extent of "Endurance beyond God's". It was decided that the boy would adopt this name when entering Hogwarts as a not-so-subtle hint to those whom might harbour ill-will that he is the legal ward of the somewhat prominent Kamijo family from Japan. As youth has only been using this new moniker for about a few months, he is still prone to accidentally introducing himself as Endurance Huwa. Also Known As - "That Savage" ⇢ Even though he's only just arrived at magic school Endurance already has some notorious gossip circulating about his person. The entire fiasco is caused by a Slytherin alumnus whom has spread a largely exaggerated (but not entirely untrue) story about how the damn Mud-blood allegedly beat him to an inch of his life using his bare fists during a formal duel (well okay this part was a lie). Ironically Endurance has taken a liking to the 'nickname' and on the odd occasion affectionately uses it with a faux French accent akin to how some read "artist" as "artiste" in reference to himself. Age: 17 Gender: Male Sexuality: Hetero-sapien Blood Type: Muggle-Born Species: Human Familiar: N/A Patronus: Megalodon - The prehistoric ancestor of the Great White Sharks. Being one of the most gigantic carnivores that the history of Earth has ever seen, these behemoth beasts were twenty-five meters long and weighted in at a hundred-twenty-eight metric tons. Its status as Endurance's Patronus is iconic to the Muggle-born wizard's identity as an over-specialized predator that primarily feasts upon and devours other dangerous predators: after all the saying goes that man is the most dangerous animal. In its non-corporeal form, the Patronus often dives completely below the soil, concealing itself underground save for its massive fin similar to how its natural counterpart would descend into the waves; when as a corporeal construct it manoeuvres through the air as if swimming through the depths of the ocean. Quoting the famous Steven Spielberg movies, Endurance's personal name for his Patronus is "Jaws". Boggart: Landkreuzer P. 1500 Monster - A Super-Heavy Tank designed by Nazi Germany. The massive weapon of destruction would have weighted 1500 metric tons while measuring 42 meters in length, 18 meters in width and 7 meters tall. It was to be equipped with the fearsome "Schwerer Gustav, 800mm Siege Cannon", which was the largest calibre rifled weapon in the history of artillery to see actual combat, and fired the heaviest shells of any artillery piece. What Endurance is scared of would be neither death nor injury by the tank but rather the ugly "truth" it embodies. During Endurance's childhood in Somalia, a local warlord rampaged through his birthplace with an illegally obtained Sabra. Despite the efforts of the town's most capable combatants, the one lone armoured vehicle of the Turkish Army stormed across town until it left of its own accord hours later, completely uncontested. He had helped out wherever he could but witnessing first hand that his attempts were in vain, Endurance was left with a sense of despair from that incident when he realized that there are certain obstacles in the world that no amounts of hard work can surpass. It is that sensation of helplessness which the boy fears most and those insecurities amplified by years of repression is what evolved the much smaller main battle tank into the image of the largest weapon platform in human history. House: Sorting Hat Year: Six Strong Subjects: ⇢ Muggle Studies - The Muggle world was Endurance's only reality prior to his first encounter with magic three and a half years ago. As such even the most complicated areas in class are second nature to him because for the youngster it was just everyday life up until a short while ago. He is especially well-versed in topics such as politics in the African/Middle Eastern region along with tactics and standard practices in warfare between Muggle factions and to a lesser extent, first-aid without the assistance of magic. ⇢ Transfiguration - The Kamijo's are known for their skill in Human-Transfiguration; during times of battle, members of the lineage are known to impose risky self-alterations to various parts of their own flesh and blood or organs in order to temporarily exceed the mortal limits of their human bodies even if for a brief moment. Endurance's positive performance in that class can be attributed to the harsh guidance on the family's secrets he received from the Kamijo's for the past three and a half years. Weak Subjects: ⇢ History of Magic - As mentioned before, Endurance has only known of the existence of Magic for less than four years, hence he's not entirely familiar with the ins and outs when it comes to its history. Although his current legal guardian, Touma Kamijo has attempted to explain to him, the young man found the matters entirely too boring to pay attention to. Consequently the circumstances of the First and Second Wizarding Wars are the only two events that he somewhat retained and not even in great detail either. ⇢ Care of Magical Creatures - He still thinks that Salamanders are normal amphibians instead of lizards that are literally on fire. Endurance's only saving grace in that class is that he seems to instinctively know precisely just what he should stay the hell away from and when to call it quits. Wandcrafting: Dubbed the "Boomstick" after Ash's Shotgun in Evil Dead III. Fittingly, it is good at blast type spells. ⇢Wood: Elder - considered the emblem of sorrow and casualty in ancient lore, elder represents Endurance's war-torn birthplace of Somalia and essentially a land of death. ⇢Core: Phoenix Feather - a symbol of rebirth and new beginnings; the immortal firebird's pinion reflects Endurance's recent introduction to "civilized" western society and sub-sequential entry into the Magical world from Muggle upbringings. ⇢Length: 5 inches - unusually short and thus easy to conceal. The Kamijo family traditionally wield shorter than average wands. ⇢Flexibility: High - exhibits an almost ridiculous level of tensile strength when put under physical strain. Personality: Merits ⇢ Chivalry While he is someone that plays by no one else's rules, Endurance follows the few rigid laws that he has set for himself without exception. Being far harder on himself than any other person in the world, the young man never makes excuses or complaints when it comes to upholding his own standards because his prideful nature refuses to allow him any leeway to do otherwise. To never betray a friend, to always make good on his promises and to never ignore a damsel in distress are the prime three examples among the many policies Endurance has imposed upon his person. ⇢ Mind of Steel An iron conviction reinforced by an unshakable will drives Endurance unwaveringly through even the most perilous of ordeals. He is courageous and possesses such firm nerves that it is as if the blood that flows through his veins is forged of liquid mercury. Bones can be shattered and his flesh rendered but the only thing that is truly unbreakable is Endurance's resolve. Due to his nigh impenetrable mental stability, he can only be persuaded, not forcefully manipulated. While never actually tested, it is believed that this characteristic makes Endurance highly resistant to the Imperius Curse. ⇢ Observation Skills Endurance had been a functional borderline-illiterate up until the age of thirteen and to cope with that disability the young man adapted his observational skills to the zenith of human limits. Just imagine spending your entire life having to pick up skills by watching the performance of others because you are unable to read the instructions: this was the daily norm in the life of Endurance. Armed with a firm grasp of body mechanics and an intuitive understanding of physics, the inexperienced wizard has the talent to learn most practical abilities by copying the motions just once or twice. ⇢ Killer's Instinct There are three types of people in the world: those who can kill; those who cannot; and those whom have killed before. Of these categories, Endurance belongs in the third. As a seasoned warrior whom is willing to resort to the grittiest of tricks to come out on top and to survive, his vicious tactics and merciless determination easily shocks and surprises opponents. Although his utter disregard for convention and etiquettes means that he is an immense asset in high-stakes conflicts that cannot be lost at any cost, no one in their right mind should ever choose Endurance as their second in a formal duel. Detriments ⇢ Feral In the eyes of the magical society, Endurance might as well have been raised by wolves. Unruly, disinterested in protocols and always willing to resort straight to bloodshed, the boy's behaviour as well as natural affinity towards carnage offends the common sense of magician culture and puts him at odds with an era that strives for peace. Due to his upbringings, Endurance believes that sometimes violence really is the only answer and since he was never taught to restrain himself from such behaviour, shows no inhibitions in following through with his principles. ⇢ Power Complex The seeker of strength, Endurance wholeheartedly believes in his philosophy of "while might does not make right, power is absolute". To him, kindness without force is sheer futility because everyone and everything one has ever cared about can be taken away in an instant and there's not a damn thing you can do about it unless you have the capacity to protect them. It is for this reason that the youngster ambitiously quests for personal strength as well as holds the concept in such high esteem and value. Also this trait might be a factor which deems him suitable for the Slytherin house. ⇢ Uneducated Having been born and raised for the first thirteen years of his life in Somalia, a country that has not had an effective government since 1991 - more than three centuries ago, Endurance did not begin receiving a formal education until after he started going through puberty. Despite being reasonably intelligent, he lacks the thought process for book-study and therefore struggles with academic areas of school which he finds over-complicated as well as frustrating. His lacking aptitude plus learning disability often cause his peers and instructors to mistake Endurance for being stupid and unserious about school. ⇢ Immorality Endurance is a cold-hearted realist who often comes off as selfish or uncompassionate. Despite being far from evil, he's certainly not a Saint. Without batting an eyelash, he'd choose the life of a love one over the lives of an entire nation, or even an entire world without second thoughts. This male will never hesitate in endangering the safety of the majority for the minority if the minority just so happens to be important to him. Simply put, if Endurance doesn't know you personally, he definitely will not help or save you at the expense of himself or those around him, not unless he has something to gain. HISTORY: Endurance's story began twenty years ago when his father Kiritsugu Huwa, at the time a youthful and idealistic doctor-without-boarders left Japan to work in the Horn of Africa. On October 30th, three years later, the fruit of union between the trauma surgeon and an unnamed woman local to Ethiopia would deliver a dark-skinned, OCA1b albino with striking Asian facial features but obviously African physiques. With his mother killed in a civil war in Somalia shortly after his birth and Kiritsugu's lack of idea on how to raise a child, Endurance was for the most part left to his own devices during his formative years. Blending in with the natives, the boy soon adopted the confrontational and combative attitude of the region over the pacifistic values of his father. In his years growing up in an anarchistic country, Endurance has witness countless tragedies and atrocities: famine, droughts, rampant violence, ethnic cleansings, war crimes such as genocide and terrorism were just a part of daily life. However, even through all that the tough kid lived to become a hardened adolescent and was thus described by his childhood neighbours as having "the devilfs luck". Unbeknownst to them, this knack for survival can be attributed to the fact that Endurance is one of the only five documented cases out of the six billion normal humans or magicians in the world whom possesses a highly uncommon genetic condition classified as "Myostatin related Muscle Hypertropy". Those bearing this scarce mutation are characterized by reduced body fat as well as increased muscle size and density. When compared to the average person, affected individuals have up to several times the usual amount of muscle mass in their bodies, causing a marked amplification in physical strength and prowess. ⇢ The event which most greatly shaped Endurances as the person known to the world today happened when he was eight years of age. While wandering alone far from his hometown one day, the young boy witnessed a face-off between an enormous leopard and a battalion-strength contingent of Muggle infantry. With its poisonous breath, massive fangs and immense claws, the creature decimated 98% of the military unit but not before two hundred and ninety-six soldiers gave their lives to subdue the monster with a relentless hailstorm of speeding lead and countless incendiaries. Only one fire-team, dubbed "Alpha Squad" or unofficially the "A-Team", consisting of four men survived thanks in part to the gasmasks they wore and largely on the timely medical intervention on Endurance's part. Grateful for their lives, the four mercenaries attempted to repay the young man with a large monetary reward only to discover that riches held little value to Endurance, for he was far more fixated on something else: strength. Eager to replay their life-debt to the boy, the four made Endurance their discipline and remained in Somalia, at first for a year then each taking a three month shift rotation per sub-sequential years in order to instruct him in the art of warfare and combat. Hannibal, a Israeli combat-knife expert trained the child in the methods of "Krav Maga"; meanwhile a Russian artilleryman they called Bosco imparted to him the "Sambo" fighting style; and the British sniper, Templeton taught the youth to box; then lastly a reconnaissance specialist from Thailand by the name of Murdock educated Endurance in the martial art of his homeland: "Muay Thai". ⇢ The second major turning point of the younger Huwa presented itself in the form of his first true encounter with magic. After receiving formal tutorage of combined arms assault tactics from the "A-Team", Endurance began taking part in the insurgent activities in his birthplace as a child soldier. Finally realizing that his estranged son has grown far beyond his control and opposite his ethics, Kiritsugu decided to do what he should have done years ago: return to Japan. However, being a person who thrives on conflict, Endurance refused to leave Somalia with his father, which resulted in Kiritsugu having to lace his offspring's dinner with a sedative then dragging his kid's drugged and unconscious form on to a plane back to the place of his ancestral origins. Once back home, the very first place Kiritsugu brought his son was to a sizable estate located in Sendai belonging to the elder Huwa's best friend and distant cousin: Touma Kamjio. The pacifist surgeon, aware of Touma's previous profession in Law Enforcement at Britain hoped that his friend can set Endurance straight. Kiritsugu doesn't know that while his cousin had indeed held an esteemed position with the British Law Enforcement, Touma's former occupation was actually an Auror of Magical Law Enforcement for the Magical Ministry to be specific; and that the Huwa family actually found its beginnings when Kiritsugu's own great-great-grandfather was disowned by the Kamijo's for his status as a Squib. While Kiritsugu and Touma caught up after seventeen years of separation, Endurance wandered the spacious premise of the Kamijo Manor but being a man that attracts trouble, it didn't take long for the teen to be accosted by the most senior of Touma's apprentices. To this day no one really knows which party actually instigated the fight but it resulted in the Blood Supremacist being completely obliterated by the titan of fourteen-year-old who despite his youthful age, already stood 6'2 tall and was built like a solid brick wall of muscles. The play-by-play recount of the battle as recounted by a household servant detailed the 'barbaric' imagery of a one-sided affair. The Slytherin Alumnus had hit the Muggle with a Flipendo Tria jinx to start, but did not anticipate that the incredible physical finesse of his younger opponent would allow the hulking teenager to regain balance in mid-air. He never got a second salvo off as by then, Endurance's combat instincts honed by many years of life in a war zone had already adapted to the schemes of this new field of battle. A quick dash closed the engagement distance between the boy warrior and his prey to zero and with a singular right hook he shattered the wizard's jaw. However that was just to start: as if to add insult to injury, the combo chained into an elbow-lock that robbed the Pure-Blood control of his Wand; then a devastating knee strike to the diaphragm knocked the wind out of the verbal caster's lungs; and finally promptly breaking the magician's Wand-Arm like a twig to finish. One would have expected Touma Kamijo to be distraught at this upset victory by the unexpected guest in his home and the broken and pulverized form of his most promising student but all were shocked to find that instead of dismal, the ex-ministry worker was thrilledc The Huwa's magical heritage has resurfaced in Endurance and Touma realized that he had finally found his successor. The Kamijo Bloodline had been an influential force in the Ministry since the arrival of the Black Ships in Japan during the 19th century. However, the immense nuclear catastrophe caused by the unprecedented earthquake of 2011 resulted in fallouts of radiation in their ancestral home located in Sendai and left a majority of their males sterile and females barren. This inability to reliably produce offspring in the following generations would plunge the once prestigious family into a steep decline. Despite many attempts of marrying Half-blooded and later even Muggle-born Witches, by the time of Touma's leadership of the clan the potential successors for the next head of household numbered a flat zero - a far cry from a bygone era when well over forty candidates competed for the venerated title. Legend had it that in the Second Wizarding War, Norikata Kamijo: the modern progenitor of the lineage defeated a Deatheater in the Battle of Hogwarts when he was disarmed of his wand and on the verge of death by surprising his opponent with the utilization of Karate. Inspired by his success, the Kamijo's began to incorporate Muggle-style anti-personnel combat methods and tactics to their repertoire from there on after. Despite such strategies not being entirely sanctioned by the rules of formal duelling, because the Kamijo bloodline is a Law Enforcement orientated family whom dealt almost exclusively with the most dangerous of criminals, these breaches of etiquette are mostly glossed over and ignored by the Ministry. So adept were the Kamijos at defeating the enemies of the Ministry that the bloodline was designated as "Magus Killers". Therefore Endurance was deemed the perfect heir not only because he had proven blood relations to the lineage but the fact that the youthful brawler has already met all criteria to uphold the Kamijo core traditions. If Endurance is enamoured by a life filled with constant strife and clashes of powers then Touma will grant him a righteous battlefield. Even a mad dog can be controlled providing that one lets it run wild only at the times of your choosing, so after a brief discussion with Kiritsugu regarding the custody of the young man, Touma set out to make Endurance into a future Magical Law Enforcement Agent. Despite being aware of the ulterior motives that his new legal guardian harbours, Endurance couldn't care less, neither about his distant uncle's desperate desires to salvaging his bloodline nor of preserving order in the Magical World; all he could see before him is the offer of powers beyond anything he could have imagined before: a proposal that he refuses to pass up. Three and a half years of Spartan-esque regiments later, Endurance emerged as a competent Wizard despite his much later than normal introduction to magic. However the rushed nature of Touma's abridged teachings condensed into less than four years amounted to a not-so-well-rounded education that left many holes in the inexperienced warlock's knowledge. But such were not matters of pressing concerns to the Kamijo Leadership's grand plot as those are issues that could be addressed while his protege is in the process of naturalization with the locals of the Magical Community. Calling in various favours owed to him during his time as an Auror, Touma managed to enrol the youngster at his alma mater as a Sixth-Year student, all despite the fact that no such documentations of a person named Endurance Kamijo ever having existed on Ministry Records. So thus began the Wizard of unique upbringings' adventures at Hogwarts as the first student in history to score TROLL grades on four different OWL exams (Care of Magical Animals, History of Magic, Study of Ancient Runes and Arithmancy) in a single sitting. Aspirations: ⇢ After hearing tales about the Legendary Auror: Alastor Moody from Touma Kamijo, Endurance eventually warmed up to the idea of aiming for a career in Magical Law Enforcement. While the thought of becoming an Auror is indeed attractive, the academic prerequisites required of a candidate seem far too prodigious for Endurance to ever achieve so realistically the young man is opting for a spot as a Hit Wizard. However if none of that works out, Endurance's backup plan is to return to Muggle society and finding work as a soldier of fortune in the Middle-East. INVENTORY: ⇢ Licence to Apparate: The ability to travel to wherever they are needed in an instant is a highly prized ability by the Kamijo bloodline that has had a long tradition in Magical Law Enforcement. As such, all previous heads of the family had the capacity for inter-continental teleportation. Prior to the decline of the lineage, to be even recognized as a rightful successor to the family name, the bare minimum requirement was to acquire the Licence. Though Endurance cannot yet match the mastery commanded by Touma, trans-continental movement is possible even if consider very risky at his current level. ⇢ A retro-style biker jacket which was custom ordered but manufactured by the Weasley line of protective clothing: Endurance is never seen without his leather jackets and the most prized item of his wardrobe is a biker leather from the 80's that is decorated with a multitude of metallic inserts resembling body armour and favoured for its likeness to the apparels worn by characters in the boy's favourite movie, "Mad Max". The outerwear was paid for by his father Kiritsugu Huwa but given to him by Touma Kamijo in a backfired attempt to wean Endurance off Muggle fashion and into clothing which speaks better to the sensibility of the wizarding world. ⇢ Majutsushi-Goroshi Mk-IV (–‚pŽt ŽE‚µ Mk-IV; lit. Mage Killer Mark-Four): Since its creation three hundred years ago at the conclusion of the Second Wizarding War, the Majustsushi-Goroshi has been the heirloom borne by the Kamijo family Successor. The set of gauntlet and greaves was forged by a famed Japanese Wandsmith of that era named Muramasa who constructed it using the Shells of Blast-Ended Screwts and Dragon Hide taken from a Hungarian Horntail. It exhibits extremely high levels of Anti-Magic properties as a result of the materials used in its creation. As the defensive armament was made with the intent of serving as a safety-net against any spell that might slip past conventional magical defences put up by its wielder, it is capable of deflecting most attacks providing that its wearer has the rare reflexes to compliment it. With every passing generation, the Majutsushi-Goroshi is specifically refitted for a new Kamijo Heir; its current inception as the Mk-IV gives it the appearance of titanium-plated motorcycle gloves and boots equipped with four hidden wand compartments separated amongst each unit. Due to its magical core and apparent age, the Majutsushi-Goroshi, similar to wands of particularly ancient background is slowly beginning to show signs of self-sentience since its incarnation as the Mk-III. Possession of this artefact announces to those in the know that Endurance is the young charge of the Kamijo family.
