Patronus: A red fox Boggart: A piece of paper showing bad results on his N.E.W.T.s House: ⇢ Gryffindor Year: ⇢ Sixth Strong Subjects: ⇢ Charms ⇢ Defence Against the Dark Arts Weak Subjects: ⇢ Ancient Runes ⇢ Potions Wandcrafting: ⇢ ⇢Wood: Mahogany ⇢Core: ⇢ Unicorn hair ⇢Length: Eleven inches ⇢Flexibility: Sturdy, but not inflexible Personality: ⇢ Positive + Intelligent: Elijah's parents were always very conscious about their son's education so from an early age, he was tutored and spent a vast majority of his time studying. Although it helped him a great deal once he entered Hogwarts, he didn't have very many friends when he was a young child and did not get out of the house very much. Despite this, his intelligence has helped him out with many school assignments. When he is in a sticky situation, it also comes in handy to know the right spells to use. Of course, most of his knowledge is magic related and it's safe to say he's not knowledgeable with other subjects. + Resilient: No matter what comes at him, he seems to have the ability to recover from it quicker than most. Whether it be an injury, a tragedy or receiving a low grade in one of his classes, he's swift to overcome it and turn it around to the best of his abilities. It isn't impossible to strike him down, however. He certainly isn't a brick wall by any means. But he does do his best to not seem like he is ever harmed, physically or mentally, by anything of the sort. + Selfless: A term used rather loosely. Depending on the individual, Elijah can in fact be very selfless. When it comes to his friends, he is always willing to put them before himself in any situation. For people he is not familiar with, he couldn't care less. Even if it's just lending them a hand with school work or putting himself in a bad situation to save them, he tries to be as selfless as possible when it comes to those few people he cherishes. + Caring: He doesn't exactly care the same way most people do. As a child, he was kind of deprived of social interaction and as a result, he didn't quite catch on to the proper way of caring for other people. This doesn't mean that he doesn't. Actually, he's very caring of his friends and family, but he doesn't show it in the same way they do. Instead of hugging or hanging out, he would rather sit down with his friends and read a book by the fire place. In silence. Since he entered school, he's learned to be a bit more... normal with his social habits, but habits do die hard. + Calm: Unless there's a good reason for him to be pissed off, Elijah has a pretty calm demeanor. There isn't a lot that sets him off. Even the most irritating people or sounds or whatever else doesn't seem to bother him that much. ⇢ Negative - Stubborn: If Elijah believes in something strongly enough, the chances of him changing his mind are slim to none. He's a person who is very set in their ways and doesn't accept change as openly as others. When he disagrees with someone, he disagrees with them. There is no way he'll change his mind when he knows for a matter of fact that he's correct. This sometimes leads him to butt heads with a number of people who don't share the same views as him. Heck, it's even landed him in detention a couple of times for speaking against a professor or two. - Defensive: When it comes to the facts, he believes he knows them. At least about himself. He's not fond of rumors and the like and he's not afraid to let others know this. If someone were to accuse Elijah of something he hadn't done, he would readily defend himself perhaps a bit too eagerly. Sometimes, he's even defensive of the truth, especially if he's in denial about it. It all depends on the situation at hand, really. His defensiveness sometimes leads him to clash with his friends over certain things, but he tries his best not to seem so defensive at times. - Secretive: Elijah isn't one to flaunt his secrets or to share any personal information, really. He isn't secretive on purpose, it's simply the way he has become over time. If he feels no need to share his thoughts or feelings, then he probably won't. There's also the fact that he's afraid to share some things with other people, even his closest friends, in fear that they will somehow use it against him or reject him because of it. It has surely prevented him from getting any closer to certain people around him. - Standoffish: Perhaps it's the fact that he doesn't smile very much or that he doesn't make attempts to appear friendly, but he's always seemed vary standoffish to certain people. He isn't at all in reality and actually, he can be very friendly if he wishes to be. But because of this, he's not exactly Mr. Popular and doesn't attract many friends as a result. - Mistrusting: Ever since he was younger, Elijah has had a difficult placing his trust in practically anyone, especially if they've given him a reason to think otherwise. The few people he fully trusts are usually those he's seen most often with such as friends and family members. Overall, it's hard to gain his trust and he's always looking out for someone that might betray him in any manner. HISTORY: ⇢ Going to the Ministry: Elijah's father was an Auror who always talked happily of his career, which inspired his son to want to follow in his steps. After months of begging, his father finally agreed to take him to work with him for a day. When they first arrived at the Ministry, Elijah was mystified. Upon reaching the Auror department, he was absolutely fascinated. Spending an entire day surrounded by Aurors thrilled him to no end and even to this day, it's one of his happiest memories of his childhood. ⇢ Entering Hogwarts: Like every other student that attended Hogwarts, he received his letter on his eleventh birthday. Beforehand, his parents always told him stories of their year spent in Hogwarts and it became sort of glorified for the young Elijah. On his very first day, he was so excited he could barely contain himself. More than anything, he was eager to learn and meet other children his age with the same abilities he possessed. Aspirations: ⇢ Become an Auror: He's idolized Aurors since he was a kid, though he only became serious about choosing it as his career when he entered Hogwarts. The qualifications to become an Auror might as well be nailed onto his head because he's always very conscious about getting above average marks that will qualify him to become an Auror some day in the future. INVENTORY: -- Book bag with the Undetectable Extension Charm: This bag that he takes with him to all of his classes and everywhere else is pretty much a portable library. He's got so many books of his stuffed into it that he hardly ever needs to pay a visit to the Hogwarts library. -- Sneakoscope: Something his father gave to him when he was younger. Elijah doesn't really use it anymore, but he thinks of it as a sort of treasure that reminds him of his father. -- Bag of Bertie Botts Beans: Why not? They're his favorite treat and if he's hungry, all he has to do is pull them out and have a few. Face Claiming: STARRY SKY, tsubasa yoh, elijah weasley. MY NAME IS ELI AND I'M A WIZARD. |
